Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 53 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 45 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as 5-030-06-048-002. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in injection molding machine cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and mechanical seal cooling.
