Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Dimensionally it is a 3-inch shell unit, 8-inch shell length, and roughly 11-1/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 2.4 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature.
